A vacuum is used to perform wood veneering in the manufacture of furniture boards and doors. The use of vacuum allows you to achieve the best quality of fit of the superimposed material on the product, guaranteeing a higher quality of the final product.

To create a vacuum in the equipment that is used for veneering wood, a GTS plate-rotary vacuum pump or GTS PRVN pump is used. It is a unit in which the working part has a cylindrical chamber with two taps. One of them is the entrance, the other is the exit. Inside, an eccentric drum rotates, with slots for records. In dry models, graphite ones are used, since they do not spoil the inner surface of the cylindrical chamber during friction. In oil models, steel plates are used. Each of them is spring-loaded and when the center of the drum is shifted, it moves out, thereby blocking the zone with reduced and increased pressure. there are also models that are used without a spring, the blades themselves move under the influence of gravity. A spring-loaded one-way valve is installed at the gas or air outlet.

Vacuum pressing

Vacuum pressing is an effective method of sticking veneers on the surface. Low negative pressure allows you to remove all air and foreign particles, ensuring high quality of the coating without defects. The vacuum pressing unit uses a heating element that moves along the entire length of the table and can be of several types depending on the design and method of heating. The pressure element is a membrane that separates zones with reduced and increased pressure.
